At a whopping 5’9”, 149.2 pounds, I am excited to officially declare for the NBA draft.
With the end of March Madness, I could not think of a better time to chase my dreams. See my official letter to the NBA below.
Dear Commissioner Adam Silver,
It is with great pleasure that I, Daniel Gurevitch, am announcing my candidacy for the 2025 NBA draft. As a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, I meet and exceed the necessary requirements to be eligible for the draft as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Accordingly, I formally request a Draft Entry Application form.
From the hallowed halls of my town’s Jewish Community Center leagues, where my biggest rival was a 4'11" fifth grader with an elite handle, to the legendary hardwood of the Penn Palestra—where I once sprinted across the court before being politely asked to leave—I am ready to take my talents to the next level.
My entire basketball career has been defined by resilience: from second grade, when my own parents suggested I "focus on academics," to last year, when I failed to make the open-invite, no-cuts intramural team despite a convincing argument about "intangibles." I have been counted out at every turn. No longer.
Sincerely,
DANIEL GUREVITCH
P.S. Adam Schefter and Shams Charania, tell “future #1 overall pick” Cooper Flagg and “G.O.A.T” LeBron James to watch their backs. DG is coming.
